'"As a designer, working with a large opal is a rare occurrence; electric with flashes of light, it feels like they contain huge energy, as if they are alive and moving. I wanted to create a dome for this stone, a protector of sorts. By setting the dome with diamonds, rubies and sapphires, I have created a stained glass window of colour, reflecting the electricity of the intense opal”.
